How to Watch Arkansas vs. Northeastern in NCAA Regional Elimination Game
The Razorbacks must slow down Northeastern’s nation-leading running game Sunday in Lawrence to stay alive in the NCAA Regional.
Need another example of why Saturday night’s game was so important? Just look at what Arkansas is faced with.
First, the Razorbacks have to beat Northeastern. Simple enough, but they’ll be without two of their best starters and the Huskies are capable of running their way around the bases to score runs.
If Arkansas wins that game, it’ll turn around and face Kansas who has probably had a relaxing Sunday. Then, if Arkansas is able to beat Kansas, the two sides will meet again Monday with the winner moving on to the NCAA Super Regionals.
Lose any of those games and the season is over for Arkansas. Meanwhile, the Jayhawks need just one win to end the weekend.
Which path would you rather have?
That’s why Saturday was important because now, Arkansas Dave Van Horn and his team will need every trick in the book to stay alive.
Here’s what to know about the first game Sunday against the Huskies.
Hunter Dietz delivers a career-high 14-strikeout performance for @RazorbackBSB, allowing 4 runs over 6 1/3 frames.

The Opponent: Northeastern
The Huskies have become a regular postseason team, earning a No. 2 seed last year after a 48‑9 season and a 27‑game winning streak.
This season didn’t start the same way. Northeastern dropped seven of its first eight before picking up its first win on Feb. 27. That win happened to be a 13‑10 upset at LSU. From there, they steadied themselves, went 22‑8 in CAA play, and fought through the loser’s bracket last week by beating top‑seed Campbell twice to punch another regional ticket.
They run as well as anyone in the country.
The Huskies lead Division I with 210 stolen bases, far ahead of VMI’s 181. Carmelo Musacchia and Harrison Feinberg sit at 44 and 42, and five more players are in double digits.
“We need to throw the ball over the plate, number one. We’re facing a team that really likes to run, so we need to make them earn everything they get,” Van Horn said about Northeastern late Saturday. “If they get a hit and want to try to run on us, that’s fine. But free passes would not be good against this type of team.”
Feinberg is also their biggest bat with 16 homers, 63 RBI and a .330 average. As a team, they’ve hit only 58 home runs, but their pitching has allowed just 39. The staff carries a 4.95 ERA and holds opponents to .234. Luc Rising and Robbie O’Connor anchor the rotation.
