How to Watch Arkansas vs. Auburn in the SEC Tournament Semifinal
Arkansas faces Auburn in the SEC Tournament semifinal Saturday in Hoover. Here’s everything to know about the game.
No. 12 Arkansas is back in the SEC Baseball Tournament semifinal for the seventh time since 2013. But if the Razorbacks want to compete for its second SEC tournament championship, it’ll have to get past No. 6 Auburn, who represents one of the most complete teams in the country.
Here’s everything to know about Saturday afternoon’s semifinal game in Hoover, Ala.
The Opponent: Auburn
Auburn looks like a dangerous postseason team because it’s not just one-dimensional.
The Tigers can slug in bunches, and when Chase Fralick, Ethin Bingaman, Chris Rembert and Eric Guevara are rolling, this lineup gets loud fast. Auburn is hitting .298 as a team with a .392 on-base percentage, .469 slugging percentage and .862 OPS, while averaging 6.89 runs per game.
The pitching is what makes them feel scary, though. The Tigers enter with a 3.48 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a .230 opponent batting average, numbers that explain why Jake Marciano and Jackson Sanders were able to handle LSU in a 3-1 SEC Tournament win before Auburn followed by blanking Texas A&M 7-0 to reach the semifinals.
Sanders gives them a real late-game weapon, while Rembert, Bingaman, Sanders and Guevara all earned All-SEC recognition.
Add in a .977 fielding percentage, a +3.14 run differential, the No. 3 RPI, No. 3 KPI, No. 6 DSR and the nation’s No. 1 strength of schedule, and the profile matches the eye test.
They’re young, confident and battle-tested in the SEC. Not perfect, but definitely the kind of team nobody wants in their regional.

Weather Forecast
As has been the case for most the week in Hoover, there’s stormy weather in the forecast. The National Weather Service forecast says there’s likely to be a thunderstorm after 1 p.m. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s and a south wind of about five miles per hour.
Most of the rain should be gone by the time Arkansas and Auburn take the field for their semifinal game. The nighttime forecast also has a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but those would be expected much later in the night.
