Caden Kitler won’t snap the ball for Arkansas on Halloween night.
The fifth-year center is listed as out on Thursday’s Arkansas Missouri injury report, the second update of the week.
Nothing changed from Wednesday’s list for either team.
Kitler’s been banged up for most of the fall. The Razorbacks will play without him when No. 23 Missouri visits Razorback Stadium on Saturday.
The game starts at 6:45 p.m. and airs on SEC Network. Arkansas sits at 3-4 overall and 1-3 in SEC play. Missouri is 5-2 and 2-2 in the league. The Battle Line Trophy goes to the winner. The Hogs haven’t had it since 2021.
The offensive line has played without Kitler before.
Kash Courtney got a long look in the Week 5 loss to Tennessee. The sophomore handled center for the whole second half.
Arkansas didn’t list Kitler with an injury before the Vanderbilt game. He still never got on the field.
Courtney made the start, and the Hogs piled up 187 rushing yards. No game this season has topped that number. Arkansas won 31-21.
Coach Ryan Silverfield said Monday that Kitler is improving. He also admitted his center will carry some aches as long as he keeps playing.
Silverfield said he feels good about whichever one lines up over the ball.
Chris Marshall is the only Razorback in the questionable column.
The fifth-year receiver got hurt late in the first half against Vanderbilt. It happened on his only catch of the game.
He grabbed a screen pass and broke free for 28 yards. After he went out of bounds, he had trouble walking back toward the bench.
When the third quarter started, he was on the sideline in sweats with no pads on. Thursday’s update kept him questionable.
Running back Braylen Russell is probable. So are tight end Jaden Platt and defensive lineman Caleb Bell.
Braydon Lee, a defensive back, and tight end Gavin Garretson won’t play.
Maddox Lassiter has been out since fall camp. The senior tight end got hurt in a practice. Surgery on his upper body wiped out his season.
“Maddox has been absolutely phenomenal,” Silverfield said.
Silverfield said the coaches had big plans for Lassiter this fall. He’d been playing very well before he went down.
Punter Connor Smith and defensive lineman J’Lynn Allen also lost their seasons in camp. Smith’s a freshman and Allen’s a junior. Neither one is on this week’s list.
Missouri will be missing three players of its own. Running back Malae Fonoti, offensive lineman Josh Atkins and tight end Gavin Hoffman are out.
The Tigers didn’t list anyone as doubtful, questionable or probable.
Conference games have required these reports since 2024.
Each school posts an update around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. One more version comes out 90 minutes before kickoff.
During the week, players get one of four tags: available, probable, doubtful or out. Saturday’s version uses just three: available, game-time decision or out.
Marshall’s next shot at moving off the questionable line comes Friday night.
