FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The last time Arkansas beat Missouri, the Razorbacks were playing their final game of the 2021 regular season.

That was Nov. 26, 2021. The Hogs won 34-17 that day and finished the regular season with an 8-4 record.

They’ve been chasing another win in the series ever since.

The next chance comes Saturday, Oct. 31, and now it has a start time. The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that kickoff in Fayetteville will be at 6:45 p.m.

Anyone watching from home can find it on SEC Network.

A start at that hour puts this game after dark, which is new ground for these two teams.

A night game in Arkansas for the first time

Arkansas and Missouri have met 17 times. Not one of those games has been played at night in the state of Arkansas.

That changes at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

This will be the 18th meeting in the Battle Line Rivalry. It’s also just the sixth time the game will be played in Fayetteville.

Missouri has done most of the winning so far. The Tigers hold a 13-4 edge in the all-time series.

Four wins in 17 tries doesn’t give Arkansas fans much to brag about. They’d like to see that number start moving.

A home game under the lights gives the Razorbacks a setting this series has never had before.

Whether that makes any difference will be settled on the field.

Riding a road win into the break

The Hogs head into their open week on a good note.

They knocked off Vanderbilt 31-21 on the road last Saturday.

Any SEC win away from home is one a team will gladly take. It’s a nice way to head into a week without a game.

There’s no opponent on the schedule this weekend. Arkansas gets time to rest and regroup before the Tigers come to town.

Players who’ve been banged up can use the extra days to get healthy. The coaching staff can spend more time breaking down Missouri on film.
